Grungy / Messy No. 2

Scrap the Boys is keeping me trying new things, i tend to spread my layout out but this has forced me to gather together instead, i rather love it :)

Stencils, Dylusions, rub ons, embossed cogs, I used a mixture of embellishments on this one which added to the messy for this layout.  I chose an already grungy paper and just added piece by piece.

Thanks for looking at my work, enjoy and don't be afraid to leave a comment, i love hearing from people :)

Grunge / Messy Kylie - Melbourne

May Challenge for Scrap the Boys
Grungy/Messy

On this page i used Kaisercraft Rewind embellishments and stamps, the skull is chipboard dabbed with ink, cork arrow, washi tape, rub ons and Orangegold Ferro (with stencil).  Distressed edges that are inked and a few buttons to bring out the blue in his jeans.  The BOY at the top is a badge that i have glued on with my 450 glue.

Thank you for looking at my post, i hope you liked it :)

Outdoor Adventure

This layout was so fun to do, i would never of put flowers on a boys layout before this challenge.

This photo of my boys is one of my favorites and the paper i have used here was one of my first sets i bought from Kaisercraft.

Not only did i challenge myself with the flowers but i also used the rub on, tags, chipboard and 6" paper pad etc

The edges have been inked with Tim Holtz distressed ink (Walnut)

I am loving being a part of Scrap The Boys..

My flower boy

I did this layout for Scrap the Boy, i love being challenged and adding flowers to a boys layout did this.  The photo i chose is of my eldest son holding a dandelion and is very sweet.  The photo is mounted on cardboard and glued on with 450 glue.  I used wooden hexagons and glued the lovely flowered paper on them and backed it onto a dark blue kiasercraft card stock to help it stand out.  I used my Grand Calibur to cut out the honeycomb and the dark blue hexagons.  Used washi tape to add more colour.  I really like this layout and enjoyed the challenge.

My first Art Journal

After the recent craft show here in Melbourne, i was inspired by Kass Hall and her Art Journal display.  Not knowing much about it as we missed her class (not knowing how awesome this was) i went away with a buzz.  Over the next few days and restless nights i got onto utube and pintrest to see what it was all about.

By now i am still not a full bottle on this but decided i was going to give it a go..  This is my first attempt at Art Journal and Zentangle.

I used a white Kaisercraft paper, acrylic paints, texture paste, gesso, magazine cut outs, washi tape and a sharpie.  The bird is from Kaisercraft and is a wooden embellishment.

I hope you like it :)

My brother and me

I did this page for "Scrap the boy" March Challenge. Using the colours, blue, green and yellow (Dylusions). I used a white Kaisercraft page, a Tim Holtz stencil for the yellow at the top of the page. I used spellbinders for the cogs and circles. The two darker circles and "My brother & me" was chipboard.  I also used texture paste and washi tape. The edges of the page is inked with memento black ink.
